This webinar explored the power of e-mobility roadmaps to set the direction for national EV transition. With examples from Central and South-east Asia, the webinar provided an overview of the process, from market assessment through to the coordinated policy, fiscal and market actions required to kick-start an e-mobility ecosystem.

About the Speaker

Stuart Clapham, Associate at Integrated Transport Planning, is an urban mobility specialist with a Masters in Transport and City Planning and 12 years of experience across urban mobility and international development.

Stuart’s work on e-mobility in Asia includes an exploratory study of e-bus transition opportunities in Almaty, Kazakhstan and development of an e-mobility roadmap for public transport in the Philippines. He is currently leading development of a national e-mobility roadmap for Mongolia, with a focus on aligning the needs and aspirations of the country’s energy, transport and urban development sectors.

The Asian Development Bank launched the E-Mobility Support and Investment Platform for Asia and the Pacific, with the support by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and other partners, for bringing together practitioners and to support the scale-up of e-mobility in the region. The platform aims to become a centre of knowledge for supporting a just transition towards net-zero pathways.
