About the Speaker

Dr. Yu-Tack Kim, Adjunct Professor in Battery Engineering at Dongshin University, has been actively researching and developing business models for battery re-manufacturing, reuse, and recycling technologies for electric vehicles for nearly 10 years and has experience designing and establishing a battery reuse center for electric vehicles in Korea. He has recently founded BET Inc., prior to which he represented the Korea Battery R&D Association for more than a decade and he has also consulted the World Bank on electric vehicle sector development. With a Ph. D. in new materials from Yosei University, Dr. Kim is a leading figure in EV battery technology and end of life processing in Asia.
