This webinar explored the importance of establishing a strong electric vehicle (EV) industry to accelerate EV adoption in the Philippines. It highlighted the significant role EVs play in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and fostering innovation within the country.

About the Speaker

Karl Lyndon B. Pacolor is the Division Chief of the Innovation and Collaboration Division of the Department of Trade and Industry, where he leads innovation initiatives for startups, micro-, small-, and medium enterprises (MSMES) and large enterprises. He is responsible for implementing the two new pieces of innovation legislation (Philippine Innovation Act - RA11293 and Innovative Startup Act - RA11337) to foster globally competitive industries and prepares the country for Industry 4.0. He holds a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship from the Asian Institute of Management. Prior to joining the government, he was the Director-Secretary of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines and Technical Services Manager at an electric tricycle manufacturing company in the Philippines.
