About the Speaker

Arif M. Faisal is an environment and climate change expert with over 20 years of work experience. Currently serving as a Programme Specialist at UNDP Bangladesh, he leads initiatives in nature, climate and energy, focusing on climate-resilience and sustainable development. Faisal has managed complex, multi-sectoral projects, working with organizations like IUCN, ADB and UNDP, and has spearheaded key initiatives such as the National Adaptation Plan, updating Nationally Determined Contributions, National REDD + Strategies and developing solar energy guidelines. He holds an MSc in Climate Change from the University of East Anglia, UK.

The platform aims to become a centre of knowledge for supporting a just transition towards net-zero pathways.
