About this webinar

This webinar explored Colombia's first 100% electric public transport operator – La Rolita. In the two years it has been operations, it has hired 739 people, including 285 female bus drivers, many of whom are mothers and heads of households. La Rolita aims to make a difference by focusing on good quality capacity building for the drivers to manage the electric fleet and by providing high-level service to public transport users.

About the Speaker

Javier Márquez Ramón is an Economist from the Catholic University of Colombia, with a specialization in Finance from Externado University and a Master's in International Senior Management from Complutense University of Madrid. He has over 15 years of experience in the transportation sector, managing the finances of public and private companies within the Integrated Public Transport System (SITP) of Bogotá, Colombia. He has implemented financial models that ensure the viability of companies and increase their profitability, and has extensive experience in managing suppliers, negotiation, budgeting, and investment projections, and is currently leading a team of over 700 employees across three business lines at La Rolita.
